BMW Motor Mounts, Poly 75D – E30 (M3)
Our BMW E30 (M3) Polyurethane (75D) Motor Mounts eliminate virtually all engine movement for effective power transfer through the drivetrain. Designed for racing, these straight bolt-through polyurethane motor mounts are engineered to be the strongest and most reliable on the market. The stock rubber engine mounts deflect as torque moves through the drivetrain, allowing the motor to move. Eliminate virtually all of this movement with our BMW E30 (M3) poly 75D engine mounts.
These extremely hard, race-spec 75D durometer polyurethane motor mounts are the hardest available (aside from solid aluminum). They are the best option for race classes where solid mounts are not allowed, or for those who do not wish to deal with the issues that may arise when using solid mounts. The material used for the trans mount location(s) must match the material used for the engine mounts. These are not to be combined with the factory (OEM) trans mounts. May be used with our Group-N Trans Mounts.
Our U.S. Military Spec 75D durometer compound is as hard as a bowling ball, yet has elasticity and memory. This exclusive compound allows us to manufacture a mount that has virtually the same performance as a solid mount, but without the harshness on the brackets/chassis associated with solid mounts. Likewise, its elasticity and memory means they are also free from deformation which plastic mounts (Delrin, UHMW) are very prone to. Remember: proper heat-shielding is required on the exhaust side motor mount.
